Factual error: The whole movie shows methamphetamine constricting their pupils. Methamphetamine is a central nervous system stimulant which dilates the pupils - the exact opposite of what is shown.
Spun (2002)
Directed by: Jonas Akerlund
Starring: John Leguizamo, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy, Mena Suvari, Jason Schwartzman
Factual error: In some of the shots where the cook is making meth, he is smoking cigarettes. The chemicals involved in making meth are so flammable that if somebody even walked past the room smoking, it would have exploded.
Continuity mistake: When Spyder is arrested he is more or less naked because the cops wouldn't let him dress. Then in jail you see him and Cook talking and he's got nothing but a blanket on. However when the show a clip of him during his arrest on 'Bust TV', he has a t-shirt on.
Trivia: Quite a few pop culture icons appear in this film such as Ron Jeremy who plays the bartender, Rob Halford of Judas Priest who plays the porn store clerk, Debbie Harry the lead vocalist of Blondie who plays the neighbor and of course Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins who plays the doctor.
Trivia: Billy Corgan who sings most of the movies songs has a cameo playing the doctor.
Trivia: This movie is about methamphetamines. But this movie is similar to Requiem for a Dream in its portrayal of drug use. The makers must have noticed this, because they poke fun at the similarity in one instance. The Cook is in the porn shop, and he buys a movie, and its name is Rectum for a Dream.
Ross: You know what the best thing is? I'm not hooked... I could stop at any time.
Ross: Do you shave your balls?
Doctor: Ooh, that's gotta hurt.
Question: How old are the characters in the film?
