Trivia: Both this movie and "Friday The 13th Part 2" (which came out the same year as this movie) share a scene where one of the counselors tells a campfire story about the villain of the film they're in. In both movies, the story ends with one of their friends wearing a mask and carrying a fake weapon, jumping out and scaring everyone, providing the audience with a fake scare.

Trivia: One year prior to this, Tom Savini worked on the special effects for the first Friday the 13th film. Savini was approached to return for the second film but turned it down as he felt it shouldn't have a sequel and disliked the idea of Jason being revealed to still be alive and becoming the new killer. He elected to work on this film instead.

Karen: You're crazy.
Eddy: Yeah, I know. Crazy for you.

Sophie: Hey Todd... over here.
