Continuity mistake: A group of new recruits is introduced to horseriding. One spindly volunteer gallops off first, but when we see him from behind he has been replaced by a stuntman of about twice his width. (00:44:10)
Continuity mistake: When Col. Thursday skips his dinner because an alarm came in he apologizes to Phil. While they are talking Phil's purse appears in her hands from one shot to the next. (00:36:15)
Trivia: Like in most western films made by John Ford, real Native Americans were used and were paid union scale.
