Revealing mistake: That isn't Joan Sims in the shower as seen from above. The stand-in doesn't remotely resemble her.
Carry On Up the Jungle (1970)
Directed by: Gerald Thomas
Starring: Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Sidney James, Joan Sims, Frankie Howerd
Continuity mistake: When the woman with the glasses meets the other man for the first time after laying on the sand, the woman has sand on her back. In the shot when you look at her back the sand has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When the jungle boy says "woman" to June, he points to his chest and puts his hand to the ground. In the next shot, he is pointing to his chest again.
Trivia: This marked Kenneth Connor's return to the series. His last film had been "Carry On Cleo" in 1964.
Trivia: In the scene involving Terry Scott's "Tarzan" character at the waterfall, the first take of this shot was ruined when Terry Scott's ...er "manhood" fell out of his loincloth, leaving Mr. Scott a little bit more exposed than the script called for. Producer Peter Rogers was later quoted as saying, "If I'd known THAT was going to make an appearance, I'd have put make-up on it."
Trivia: Second "Carry On" film not to feature Kenneth Williams. He was originally offered the role of Professor Tinkle but turned it down as it clashed with his TV show. Williams was then offered the role of Walter Bagley, which he turned down as being too small.
June: I wondered if it would be safe for me to go for a walk. I mean, would anything happen?
Bill Boosey: Darling, you could walk starkers through a Foreign Legion outpost and nothing would happen.
Prof. Inigo Tinkle: I'm flabbergasted! My gast has never been so flabbered.
Lady Evelyn Bagley: There is my reputation to think of. You would need to be very circumspect.
Prof. Inigo Tinkle: Oh, I was! When I was a baby.
