Revealing mistake: At the end when the class are having their dance, the band manage to play without any amps, speakers or mikes. We even hear keyboards, despite no-one playing any.
To Sir, with Love (1967)
Directed by: James Clavell
Starring: Sidney Poitier, Judy Geeson, Suzy Kendall, Christian Roberts
Genres: Drama
Continuity mistake: During a session in class when they were discussing marriage etc, Potter and Denham can be seen in the background leaning in their chairs against the wall. The discussion then involves them and the Teacher played by Sidney Poitier. In the scenes that follow it shows them leaning on their desk when the pair of them are talking to the teacher, and when the teacher is talking it shows them in their original posture with their chairs still tilting.
Trivia: Ann Bell plays Mrs. Dare, the mother of Pamela Dare (Judy Geeson). In real life, Bell is only ten years older than Geeson.
Mark Thackeray: Marriage is not for the weak, the selfish, the insecure.
Pamela Dare: Sir, would you dance with me tonight?
Mark Thackeray: Of course, but nothing too fast. I'm getting much too old for that sort of thing Miss Dare.
Pamela Dare: We'll make it something special, promise?
Mark Thackeray: Promise.
Pamela Dare: Sir, would you call me Pamela tonight?
Mark Thackeray: Yes... Pamela.
Mark Thackeray: If you apologize because you are afraid, then you're a child, not a man.
