Continuity mistake: Near the end of the race, the cars are clean and dirty in the same race lap.

Factual error: The duel between the lead three cars on the last lap of the race covers a section of the cicuit twice: it is the section past Arnage, Maison Blanche and the Ford Chicane.

Factual error: The crash of Steve McQueen's Porsche 917 is supposed to happen on the exit of Indianapolis corner, but the slow motion reveals that it was actually staged between Arnage and Maison Blanche.
