Factual error: When the Delta Force lands on a beach, prior to their assault, their landing craft is lit up like a christmas tree. The commandos wear dark uniforms and have blackened their faces, but they also carry bright white ropes around their chests. Some of them are scuba-divers, wearing yellow oxygen-tanks. In short, in the real world they would have been spotted within minutes.
The Delta Force (1986)
Directed by: Menahem Golan
Starring: Martin Balsam, Lee Marvin, Chuck Norris, Joey Bishop
Factual error: During the shootout and chase when McCoy and Pete are in the white van, Chuck seems to fire at least a hundred rounds if not more from his uzi before reloading another clip. Real uzis hold SIGNIFICANTLY less ammo in their clip.
Factual error: Although the Delta Force doesn't wear American patches because they 'work in the dark', the American Flag patch is facing the wrong way. It is supposed to have the stripes facing towards the back, as it symbolizes they they are not retreating.
Nick Alexander: Did anyone ever tell you that you have beautiful legs?
Bartender: Oh, Nick! You can't see them from here.
Nick Alexander: No, but I do have a good imagination. Well, actually I'm just trying to be nice.
Maj. Scott McCoy: Better hurry, Nick... I think there's gonna be reinforcements on the way.
Nick Alexander: How do you know?
Maj. Scott McCoy: Something I heard on the radio.
Nick Alexander: I didn't know you spoke Arabic?
Maj. Scott McCoy: If we don't get outta here, we're all gonna be speaking it.
Jaffer: Here are some blankets for the night.
Capt. Campbell: How about some beds?
Jaffer: You don't need beds, you're gonna die tomorrow.
