Other mistake: In the scene where Geoffrey Rush is folding his dead friend's hands, you can see the dead man's fingers scratching to accommodate the final resting place of his hands. (01:30:45)
The Tailor of Panama (2001)
Directed by: John Boorman
Starring: Pierce Brosnan, Brendan Gleeson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Geoffrey Rush, Catherine McCormack, Leonor Varela, Harold Pinter
Factual error: When Harry takes the drunken Mickie out of the club the doormen manhandle Mickie in a way a doorman would never treat a member of the club. (00:21:00)
Continuity mistake: When Harry visits the President to fit his new suit the President disappears behind a see-through folding screen to change. When he asks for the new pants and puts them on one can tell from the way he was standing behind the screen that he hasn't taken his old pants off. (00:40:35)
Andy: Come and dance.
Francesca Deane: Oh God. You don't dance as well, do you?
Andy: As well as what?
Harry Pendel: And do we dress right or left, sir? Most of my gentlemen favour left these days, don't think it's political.
Andrew 'Andy' Osnard: Never know where the bloody thing is. Bobs about like a wind-sock.
Harry Pendel: Welcome to Panama, Casablanca without heroes.
Question: Does Harry get any of the money at the end, or does Pierce Brosnan's character keep all of it?

Answer: Harry received nothing. Andy (Pierce Brosnan's character) was using him the entire time to embezzle the funds the government had given to the "silent opposition."
