Continuity mistake: After the scene with the elevator bringing up the bricks, Garrett Morris and Jane Curtin are having a chat, smoking together. Garrett asks, "You wonder exactly what it is you are doing here?" As he asks that, Kim Matula is leaning her head against her hand. The shot changes and it is dangling off the railing. (00:40:00)
Saturday Night (2024)
Directed by: Jason Reitman
Starring: Willem Dafoe, J.K. Simmons, Kaia Gerber
Continuity mistake: When a frustrated Lorne Michaels starts tearing apart the overcrowded board with too many sketches, in the first shot he claws out the lower half of the leftmost column, below "Commercial #1." In the next shot, though, the board is still fully stocked with post-it notes, and he tears them down in a different order. (01:13:30)
Factual error: George Carlin is played in the movie by Matthew Rhys. They went as far as to recreate with him, on a prop, the cover of "An Evening With Wally Londo Featuring Bill Slaszo", the album that Carlin pitched at the end of the original episode and that Rhys brings on stage in this movie at dress rehearsal. However, in this cover, Rhys is looking to his upper left, Carlin looked to the upper right. With such attention to detail, it's easy to imagine it could be deliberate. (00:43:00)
Billy Crystal: Yep, we're fucked.
Jim Henson: The writers on the seventeenth floor tied a belt around Big Bird's neck and hung him from my dressing room door.
George Carlin: Fuck you! Fuck you! And definitely fuck you!
