Continuity mistake: When Maggie talks to Eddie Bo Smith Jr. (the Chicago cop) outside the meeting of "receivers", you can see the cop's breath when he speaks, but not Maggie's.
Stir of Echoes (1999)
Directed by: David Koepp
Starring: Kevin Bacon, Illeana Douglas, Kathryn Erbe, Zachary David Cope
Continuity mistake: The dirt on Tom's shoulder appears and disappears.
Continuity mistake: When Tom is playing the guitar, Jake comes over and moves his Tom's fingers in different spots to play a couple of chords. But in the next shots of Tom playing the guitar, he does not play any of the chords Jake showed him.
Trivia: At one point in the movie, Kevin Bacon's wife makes a comment about him playing in 'that stupid band with your brother'. In real life, Kevin Bacon actually does play in a band with his brother, called The Bacon Brothers.
Trivia: When Kevin Bacon kicked the bucket and broke the window it was coincidence. He was supposed to just kick it up against the house. When he broke it he just kept walking so they kept it in the movie.
Trivia: The alley that Katherine Erbe goes down to visit the big, black guy Neal is the same alley that Kiefer Sutherland goes down in Flatliners before he first gets beaten by the hockey stick kid. Kiefer crosses an intersection and gets passed by cyclists right before he goes down the alley. It's shot years apart and the neighborhood has changed a bit, but I assure you (I live nearby), it is the same alley entrance.
Maggie Witzky: Why are you doing this?
Tom Witzky: Water softens up the dirt.
Maggie Witzky: I didn't marry you 'cause you were going to be famous. I liked the way your ass looked in jeans.
Tom Witzky: I never wanted to be famous. I just never expected to be so.
Maggie Witzky: What?
Tom Witzky: I don't know, ordinary.
