Factual error: The story takes place in the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver) in November and December. Washington may be known as the "Evergreen State", but there are still numerous deciduous trees - and deciduous trees have leaves that change color in Autumn (yellow, orange, red) and then shed (fall off), not stay green through December or into the new year.
The Minus Man (1999)
Directed by: Hampton Fancher
Starring: Owen Wilson, Dennis Haysbert, Dwight Yoakam, Sheryl Crow
Continuity mistake: The camera goes back and forth between Vann and Ferrin when they are having a conversation in the post office. Ferrin's hair is very frizzy the whole way around her face (and a total mess). There are some strands of hair that dangle from her scalp which aren't always the same. Perhaps more noticeable is a clump of hair on the left side of her head that intermittently sticks out sideways a few inches. When there is finally a rear view of her head, Ferrin's hair is suddenly neatly combed back in a bun with little or no frizz - only the strands that dangle in the front stay the same. (01:18:50 - 01:19:36)
Continuity mistake: The entrance door to the bar, which Vann closed behind him, is ajar when it can be seen. (No one else came into the bar or left while Vann was there). (00:04:04 - 00:04:41)
