Revealing mistake: When Chucky's disembodied head tries to bite Andy in the beginning, watch closely. When the plaque he's mounted too leans forward suddenly as Chucky snaps at Andy, you can see a rod underneath of it, which was used to make it move and lean forward by the puppeteers.
Cult of Chucky (2017)
Directed by: Don Mancini
Starring: Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, Allison Dawn Doiron, Fiona Dourif
Continuity mistake: When Andy is grappling with the "buzz-cut" Chucky and trying to rip his clothes off, at one point the camera cuts from a medium shot to a closeup as he rips Chucky's overalls down. In the medium shot, Chucky's left arm is reaching for Andy's wrist, but isn't holding it. But in the closeup, suddenly Chucky is grasping Andy's wrist.
Continuity mistake: Dr. Foley burns and melts the Chucky doll on his right hand with a lighter but when it cuts to a wide shot, Chucky's hand is completely fine.
Trivia: Chucky states that he got the spell to control multiple hosts at the same time on "Voodoofordummies.com" This is a callback to a joke from "Bride of Chucky", in which a book called "Voodoo for Dummies" was used to bring Chucky back to life.
Trivia: During Nica's dream-sequence, at one point we see two brief glimpses of Chucky in extreme close-up screaming, with half of his face missing. This is actually cleverly-reused stock-footage from the end of "Child's Play 3" when Chucky is killed.
Chucky: Kyle?
Kyle: Andy sent me. We're gonna have some fun.
Question: How does Chucky tranfer his soul into another doll?
Answer: Originally, the serial killer Charles Lee Ray used a voodoo spell to transfer his soul into a "Good Guy" doll in a toy shop, thereby becoming "Chucky" the homicidal doll. Later he acquired a voodoo spell that allowed Chucky to transfer souls multiple times (of course, his ultimate goal has always been to transfer his soul back into a living human body).
Question: At the end of Bride of Chucky, the Tiffany doll has a stitched scar on her forehead from being hit with an axe by Chucky. In the end of Cult of Chucky, the Tiffany doll is revealed and does not have the scar she had previously. What happened to it?
Answer: It's been years since the injury. Maybe she transferred her soul to another doll? Maybe she repaired her head? Maybe she copied her soul into another pristine doll as she can now inhabit multiple hosts at once? Take your pick, as it's a relatively insignificant matter.
Question: Multi part question:1. Does this one ignore Seed Of Chucky? 2. Why did Tiffany change her appearance from Seed Of Chucky once human? 3. Why not have Brad Dourif's voice come out of the Nica character's mouth?
Answer: Well in Bride Of Chucky, unless that was a dye job, she had black hair. Here she's blonde.
She simply decided to dye her hair back to blonde. Human Tiffany was originally blonde in "Bride of Chucky," and she also dyed her doll-hair blonde when she turned into a doll. The only time she has dark hair is at the end of "Seed of Chucky" when she possesses Jennifer Tilly. But like I said... she simply decided to dye her hair blonde again in the meantime. She was also blonde in "Curse of Chucky." There's no real significance to it... she probably just wanted to have hair like she used to have.
Thank you, my bad. You're one of the sharpest people on this site. You should work for them.
Answer: 1) No, this film does not ignore "Seed of Chucky." While references to it are minimal, it is still considered official canon with the series. 2) I don't really understand how she changed her appearance. She still looks like Jennifer Tilly. You may need to elaborate on that. 3) In the context of the film, it's because he's taken over her Nica's body and is currently using her vocal cords to speak.

Answer: Chucky states that he found a new voodoo spell in the film that allows him to control multiple hosts at once. It's almost like a copy/paste of his spirit. Andy still has the original Chucky, whereas the rest are duplicates.
