Revealing mistake: When Austin goes to write the Roman numeral "XVII" on the chalkboard, the erased numerals from a previous take are still visible where he's about to write it. (00:41:36)
The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
Directed by: Andre Ovredal
Starring: Brian Cox, Emile Hirsch, Ophelia Lovibond, Michael McElhatton
Genres: Horror
Other mistake: When propping Jane Doe's head up onto the block, her head tilts back but her eyes stay focused toward the ceiling, not tilting back. (00:26:25)
Suggested correction: She is a supernatural entity, so her body does not necessarily behave as a normal body would. It's just one of the many unexpected things about her.
Other mistake: When the Sheriff arrives at the end, his car has Pennsylvania license plates but we have been told that the setting is Virginia.
Tommy: This amount of lung damage, though, I'd expect the body to be covered in third degree burns. It's like finding a bullet in a brain, but with no gunshot wound.
Tommy: Let's get the fuck out of here.
Emma: What's that for?
Tommy: To make sure he's dead. There used to be a time it was hard to tell a comatose person from a dead one, so coroners tied bells to everybody in the morgue. So if they heard a 'ting', they knew somebody down there wasn't quite ready to go.
Emma: So, why do you have one?
Tommy: Well, I'm... I'm a bit of a traditionalist.
