Continuity mistake: When we first see the book that Bugs is reading at the beginning of the cartoon, there are words on the front cover and spine. In the next shot, the words have gone.
Continuity mistake: When Bugs is reading his book, he puts his carrot on the stand next to him. But when the apple falls on his head, the carrot has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Merlin turns Bugs into a pig, Bugs pulls off his pig costume and leaves it on the floor. But when Bugs turns Merlin into a horse, the pig costume is nowhere to be seen.
Trivia: The book that Bugs is reading at the start of the cartoon is authored by "Burton" - a reference the Warner Brothers production manager, John Burton.
Trivia: The mailbox for the ancient wizard reads "Merlin of Monroe" - a reference to the American actress Marilyn Monroe.
Trivia: The first Warner Brothers cartoon in which director Charles M. Jones is credited as "Chuck" Jones.
