Factual error: In the office motel of the Dallas Buyer's Club, a calendar behind Ron Woodroof's desk shows a newer model of a Lamborghini Aventador (2011-current) but the story takes place in 1985.
Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
Directed by: Jean-Marc Vallée
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Steve Zahn, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto
Genres: Drama
Factual error: The main character is wearing Ray Ban "P"-branded polarized sun glasses, which weren't available in the 80s when the movie is set.
Factual error: In the scene where Woodroof comes back through Mexico as a priest, the border agent asks for his passport. In the 80's American citizens weren't required to have a passport to visit Mexico, or asked to show one. That requirement began in 2009.
Trivia: James DuMont is just six years older than Jared Leto, despite them playing father and son.
Trivia: Jared Leto won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Rayon, even though he only has 21 minutes of screen time.
Ron Woodroof: Let me give y'all a little news flash. There ain't nothin' out there can kill fuckin' Ron Woodroof in 30 days.
Ron Woodroof: I swear it, Ray, God sure was dressin' the wrong doll when he blessed you with a set of balls.
Ron Woodroof: That shit is purer than a preacher daughter's pussy, right there.
