Continuity mistake: When Mom gives Molly the donation box she writes "Sunnyside" on only one side of the corrugated box. When the Sunnyside box is in the car and also when Mom carries it to the daycare, there's printed red text (name, contents, etc) under the hand hole at the adjacent side of the box, but when Bonnie's Mom carries the box into the butterfly room that printed red text has vanished (NOT the handwritten "Sunnyside"), then it reappears when the kids go to recess. Continuity mistake: When Han tells Lando that he can fly the Millennium Falcon during the battle, when Lando says, "Would you get going, you pirate", his entire outfit is reversed - his shoulder holster strap goes the other way, and his rank insignia changes side too. (00:50:00)
Continuity mistake: When Howard's wife is leaving Joel's apartment, the first two shots show her trench coat belt hanging from the bottom of the driver's door. In the third shot the belt is no longer hanging from the door. (01:19:30)
Continuity mistake: When Dave gets his supper, the order of the slop from right to left is yellow, light brown, light brown, dark brown. Later when he's eating, the order is yellow, orange brown, dark brown, light brown. (00:59:00 - 00:59:50)
Visible crew/equipment: The camera crew and the boom mic operator can be seen reflected in the store windows as Mr. Pink is running from the cops.
Continuity mistake: The shadows in the scene with Lawrence sleeping on his camel are short because it's the middle of the day. In the next shot you see long shadows on the sand. When Ali wakes up Lawrence they are short again. (01:01:41)
Character mistake: During the dancing girl scene, as they are singing the praises of Kane, the girl to the immediate right sings out of time with the rest of the dancers during the line "His favorite son." Even though she forgets to sing the line, she can be heard singing it a bit too late. (00:41:00)
Continuity mistake: After Elsie has been kidnapped, there is a scene where a little girl walks up to an old man to ask him for the time. A man notices this and walks towards the old man. The old man is standing in front of a light pole which casts a shadow onto the pavement. In another shot, there are no shadows near the light pole.
Revealing mistake: In the shooting scene in the Mount Rushmore cafe, a boy in the background puts his fingers in his ears, because he knows the gun is about to be shot.
Continuity mistake: During the second round of drinks, the amount of ice left in the frozen daiquiri changes depending on the camera angle. It's poofy and opaque in the side view, and deflated and almost fully transparent in the tighter close-up on Shirley MacLaine, with an intermediate angle and state. (00:38:10)
Continuity mistake: When Scottie (James Stewart) visits a bookshop to question its owner, the book display in the shop's window changes between the time he enters and exits the store. (00:33:50)
Continuity mistake: When Nino goes to 'Les deux Moulins' for the first time, we can see Amelie writing the menu on a glass right behind him. A few shots later, we see the glass again and the handwriting is quite different. That's easy to see if you look carefully at the 'd'. Later on, we see the glass once more, and the handwriting has changed again. (01:32:55)
Factual error: There's a scene when Barbara Stanwyck hides behind an open door to avoid beeing seen by Edward G.Robinson leaving Fred MacMurray`s apartment. To make this possible the apartment door opens outside into the corridor, which is an elegant solution for this situation in the movie. But in the real world no apartment door would open by swinging into the corridor because this would give a visitor standing there a punch on the nose when the resident opens the door.
Continuity mistake: Look at the scene where Alex beats Georgie and Dim and they fall in the river. Alex politely offers his hand to Dim, and in the background you can see Georgie with no hat. Shortly afterwards, he's got his hat on.
Continuity mistake: Pvt. Pyle is on the rifle range with Gunnery Sergeant Hartman right behind him. When filmed from Pyle's right side, he is wearing a white wrist wrap/brace but the shot moves behind him and it is gone. Back to the right side and it reappears. (00:35:50)
Continuity mistake: In the motel chainsaw scene, before the Colombians pull out their guns, there are several food containers, a bag of cookies and a soda can lined up neatly on a table, seen in multiple shots. After the skirmish, Hector pulls the chainsaw out of its box and Tony is leaning against the table with the items now all scattered in different positions. A few minutes later, Manny shoots his way in. You can see the table in multiple shots and the items are back in their original positions.
Continuity mistake: Angelica has flowers on her dress. During the wedding, they disappear and reappear between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When Neil (De Niro) breaks into Van Zant's apartment and shoots him, watch as Van Zandt flies backward. You can see a wire running up through the bottom of his sweat pants.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Fredrickson opens the door there are 4 locks on the front door looking from the outside in. Next scene and consequent scenes there are only 3. (00:12:35)
Continuity mistake: Early in the courtroom scene there is a shot of Gregory Peck that is reversed. The part in his hair is not on the same side of his head that it is in the rest of the film.
