Continuity mistake: When the fire engine leaves the Pilsbury Pageant, you can see that there is a blue mattress and a pink blanket on the back of it, but after running over the puddle and covering Mr Chipfield in mud, we cut back to the fire engine and the pink blanket has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Sir Beverly throws paste at Mr Chipfield for covering his hand with the paint brush, you can see the top half and hair of Mr Chipfield's face is covered in paste, but when the camera angle changes to behind Mr Chipfield in the next shot, the paste has disappeared, and in the shot after that, it is back again.
Continuity mistake: When the fire engine is about to collide with the Battle of Hastings vehicle at the Pilsbury Pageant, you can see it is going to hit a red medieval shield, but in the next shot it ends up hitting the shield at the far end of the vehicle.
Continuity mistake: When Sir Beverly tears off part of the wallpaper that Dexter put up, it leaves a tear mark. After Beverly says it wasn't all that good, we cut back to Dexter and the tear mark is completely different.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Chipfield comes down the stairs in the bath, you can see Wally going behind a wall, but in the next shot he is standing directly behind Josh.
Continuity mistake: When the fire engine leaves the Pilsbury Pageant, a pole with a hook pulls the mattress off the bed and both Charles II and the lady on the horse fall out and onto the ground. When the lady falls out, you can see that Charles II has nothing covering him, but in the very next shot he has a blanket wrapped around him.
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Chipfield is trying to speak to Sir Beverly while he is helping the workmen with the bath, the clipboard Mr Chipfield is holding changes from his right hand to his left hand between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the fire engine sees the road works towards the end of the film, Dexter says "What are you going to do? " At this point, we cut to a mattress and you can see that there is only a small fire, but in the next shot the mattress is suddenly fully ablaze.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Chipfield lies down his cloak on the puddle at the Pilsbury Pageant, you can see his cloak covers the whole of the puddle, but when the fire engine runs over it, the puddle is only partially covered.
Continuity mistake: When Josh gets soaked from the water in the plug hole in the sink, the length of Sir Beverly's cut off tie changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Chipfield knocks off part of the wall, the ceiling collapses. At this point you can see that Mr Chipfield is looking at the wall, but in the next shot he is looking directly at Dexter.
Continuity mistake: When Ron kicks the tiles below him on the roof they fall away, but in the next shot there are tiles directly below where he's sitting again.
Continuity mistake: When Mr Chipfield falls into the puddle at the end of the film, his hat is floating as he's submerged but has disappeared when he surfaces.
Continuity mistake: When Dexter hits Sir Beverly in the face with a paintbrush, the amount of whitewash on Sir Beverly's face changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Dexter puts the bowler hat containing wallpaper paste over Mr Chipfield, you can see that the top of the hat is covered with paste, but in the next shot appears completely clear.
Continuity mistake: When the guitar amplifier explodes in the kitchen, Josh goes to the kitchen and you can see there is nothing on his head, but when he opens the door to the kitchen, a hat has suddenly appeared.
Continuity mistake: When Sir Beverly has his tie caught in the plug hole, Josh cuts it with a pair of scissors and a piece of the tie falls into the sink. When Josh puts his hand in the sink in the next shot, the piece of tie has disappeared.
