The Hoose-Gow

Continuity mistake: When the warden catches Stan and Oliver trying to get back into the van after Stan accidentally trod on his foot, the warden says "Over here!" and he is seen pointing his finger to the ground before puts his hands on his hips. In the next shot, the warden is pointing his finger to the ground and he puts his hands on his hips a second time.

Continuity mistake: When Stan stands up after being kicked into the bed of rice from the radiator of the governor's car, his bowler hat has a large amount of rice on it. When he is looking at the warden in the next shot, the rice has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When the governor hits the lady with rice during the rice fight at the end of the short, the left side of her face is covered in rice, but in the next shot it now appears completely clean.

Continuity mistake: When the barrels of whitewash fall on the governor's car at the end of the film, the fallen barrels change position between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Stan and Oliver run away from the prison, the warden opens the right door of the entrance. When he fires his gun, he is standing by the left door, and when Stan and Oliver return to prison in the next shot, the warden is back near the right door.

Continuity mistake: When the warden kicks Stan into the bed of boiled rice that pours out of the governor's car radiator, Stan stands up and you can see he is standing in the bed of rice, but in the next shot he is standing next to the warden.

Continuity mistake: When the warden sees Stan and Oliver with apples in an attempt to escape from prison, he goes over to them and you see that he is going to see Stan first, but in the end he sees Oliver.

Continuity mistake: When Stan and Oliver are fighting outside the prison, Oliver kicks the warden in the backside who then turns around. You can see that there is a guard behind the warden when he turns around, but when we see the warden in the next shot, the guard has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Oliver produces two apples as part of the plan to help him and Stan escape from prison, you can see that he is holding the apples with his fingers under them, but the next shot shows Oliver holding the apples with his fingers around them.
