Man of Steel

Superman (Henry Cavill) destroys the "world engine" that's terraforming Earth. Colonel Hardy (Christopher Meloni) drives a plane carrying the ship that brought Kal-El/Superman to Earth towards one of the Kryptonian ships; so that the impact between both ships can activate the "Phantom Drives" which will open a portal to exile the Kryptonians. General Zod (Michael Shannon) fights Superman and it ends with Superman being forced to kill Zod when he has a group of innocent bystanders at his mercy. The film ends with Clark/Superman getting a job at The Daily Planet.

Question: Why does Lois fall when everything else is getting sucked into the black hole? And then superman has to fly with all his might to make sure she doesn't get sucked into the black hole? This doesn't make any sense. There are heavy rocks and debris getting sucked into that thing and Lois falls like she's heavier than all of them.

Arrntv2

Answer: Lois wasn't affected by the Phantom Energy and the singularity only takes in things bathed in Phantom Energy like the debris affected by the Black Zero.
