Stupidity: Lily dying at the end seems poetic but it would obviously cause legal trouble for Lucas and Annabel. The court/CPS would still be checking in on the girls, making sure that Lucas and Annabel were responsible guardians. There's no possible way that they could explain the disappearance of Lily. Victoria would certainly be removed from their care and there would be legal action against them, as negligent caregivers. (01:30:00 - 01:40:00)

Her body can't be found though, because when she died, her body ceased to exist and all that was left was a butterfly.

Continuity mistake: "Mama" takes and breaks Victoria's glasses when she tells her to stop attacking Annabelle. Mama then takes the two girls, and we next see them at the cliff edge...Victoria now has her glasses back on.

Mistakes

Other mistake: Right after the two girls have been taken in by Lucas and Annabelle, there is a scene where the girls are asleep. Lucas turns off a lamp and Annabelle turns off the overhead light switch; the room goes to complete darkness. However, when the camera pans back to the bed, there are two lamps/nightlights on in the room which would've provided light in the room even after Lucas and Annabelle turned off their lights.

Answer: I'm pretty sure that they ate cherries because of all the pits shown when the two men enter the house. They probably ate other things as well because Lily is shown eating a moth in one scene.

Answer: Yes, Mama kept them alive. We see a wild apple rolling across to the floor to the huddled girls, implying that Mama gave it to them, and would have continued to give them forest fruits. She undoubtedly also showed them where to find water.
