Character mistake: Austin is supposed to be the archetypal Swinging Sixties Londoner yet he refers to his car as a Shaguar, a pun on 'Jaguar', pronouncing it 'Shag-war'. A native of this green and pleasant land would pronounce it 'Shag-u-ar', three syllables, not two, based on our pronunciation of the car manufacturer's name: Jag-u-ar. He also refers to a truck - a 'lorry' - as a "law-ree." We call them "lurries."

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
1 character mistake
Directed by: Jay Roach
Starring: Mike Myers, Seth Green, Robert Wagner, Michael York, Mimi Rogers, Elizabeth Hurley
Revealing mistake: When Austin enters the bathroom at the casino, keep your eyes on the door during the scene - it opens by itself before closing. (00:31:10)
Dr. Evil: Throw me a frickin' bone here!
Trivia: The "sh!" scene between Dr. Evil and Scott was improvised by Mike Myers and Seth Green.
Question: It was mentioned that Austin's chest hair resembled a shape. Can anyone tell me what the shape is? I don't have the movie.

Chosen answer: It's supposed to resemble an upside-down version of, ahem, wedding tackle.
