Continuity mistake: James Garner figures out he's being duped, and tells Eva Marie Saint to run out of the room screaming to draw attention to herself. She does and there's a shot of her on the hospital lawn with staff all around her. The next shot is James Garner looking out the window to see what their reaction is, and Eva Marie Saint can be seen behind him in the room.
36 Hours (1965)
1 continuity mistake
Directed by: George Seaton
Starring: James Garner, Rod Taylor, Eva Marie Saint, Werner Peters
Factual error: When an older lady working for the German cause is collecting items from the US Soldier's room (Garner), she picks out a letter with stamps on it that were not issued until 1954 and 1961...even though the year of the movie and scene is only 1944.
Anna Hedler, Nurse: A man's arms are welcome and comforting to most women. But not to me. At Ravensbrück, I was used by the officers - by the soldiers - by the guards. At first it was vile and horrifying. Then after a time it became worse. It became nothing. I didn't scream, fight, or cry any more. I haven't cried since.
Maj. Jefferson F. Pike: I'm sorry for you. To love takes tears. I hope someday you'll be able to cry again.
