Corrected entry: When Merida hops on her horse and takes her "day off" she is wearing a blue dress. However, when she climbs the rock next to the falls, and on the top of the rock, her dress is dark green. When she goes back home, she is wearing a blue dress again. (00:06:35 - 00:09:00)
Corrected entry: As Fergus, the lords, and their clans have Elinor [as a bear] tied down in the circle of stones and are about to kill her, Merida comes to her rescue. As Merida sword fights with her father, she cuts off his peg leg. When Mor'du appears in the scene, Fergus' peg leg is intact. (01:33:00)
Corrected entry: Fergus has two Deerhounds that constantly bark. Scottish Deerhounds don't bark. (01:33:00)
Correction: They tend to be quiet dogs, but they are perfectly capable of barking and some do so more than the breed typically does.
Corrected entry: Queen Elinor eats the witch's cake that Merida gave to her the same day that the triplets ate it. On the 2nd sunrise when Queen Elinor was transforming into a real bear (Her eyes turn black like they always do when she is a real bear) we see the triplets and they are not transforming into real bears. It is the 2nd sunrise for them and Queen Elinor so they should turn into real bears.
Correction: The triplets were acting like bears CUBS, playing, romping, mischief-making. They would not be exhibiting ferocious tendencies, as Elinor did, as a full-grown bear cow.
Corrected entry: At the end, when the lords leave on their ships, the triplets stow away on one of those ships. As a result, Fergus has to chase after them in a row boat. In the final shot where Merida and Elinor riding their horses before we see the whips one last time, the lords' ships are seen in the background distance, but not Fergus and his dogs. (01:33:00)
Corrected entry: When Merida shoots the 1st arrow it lands on a bullseye, but when she shots the 2nd arrow the 1st arrow is not on the bullseye.
Correction: Who knows for sure which of the many arrows Merida looses is actually being discussed here, but presumably this entry refers to the archery contest. The arrow she bullseyed with her first shot is not seen when she looses her second arrow because she's shooting at a completely different target each time she shoots.
Corrected entry: The witch's cottage is deeper into the forest that it can't be seen from the circle of stones, especially since Merida had to take at least one turn to find it while following the wisps. However, as soon as Merida leaves the witch's cottage, she is suddenly back at the circle of stones, in much less time than it took her to travel to the cottage from there. (01:33:00)
Correction: That's part of the magic of the forest and the stones, just like the Wisps. Merida is deeply confused to find herself back at the stones so quickly, indicating the journey was just as abrupt and unexpected for her. Same thing happens when she and her mother leave the ruins from the forgotten kingdom.
Corrected entry: Merida left the castle without a bow after her argument with Elinor, yet she has a bow and arrows the following morning (after the spending the night in the rain with Elinor).
Corrected entry: Hamish, Harris and Hubert are using various objects to cast what appears to be the shadow of a bear on the castle walls. King Fergus leads a group of men in pursuit of what they think is a bear. At one point, the men dash down a corridor after the bear, but the shadow appears on an outside wall which they would not be able to see.
Corrected entry: Merida is thrown off her horse at the circle of stones because he is afraid to enter that circle. However, after Merida leaves the witch's cottage, she finds her horse in the circle of stones. (01:33:00)
Corrected entry: Elinor only eats a small piece of the cursed cake, but the subsequent shots of the cake sitting alone on the plate atop the table show a bigger piece missing from the cake. (01:33:00)
Corrected entry: When Merida and Eleanor (bear form) wake up after spending the night at the witch's exploded cottage, she wakes up with a different dress on and has a bow and arrows in her keep. But when they leave the castle she is still in a tattered dress and isn't carrying anything. She could have grabbed a bow and arrows from an armory outside but I can't for the life of me figure out where she got the dress.
Correction: The tattered blue dress? She changes into a green dress before going out to ask the witch to change Eleanor back. And the bow and arrows came from bear Eleanor at breakfast after waking up.
Nope she gets chased out of the castle still in the blue tattered dress, she puts a cloak on when it rains outside the witch's hut, then when she emerges in the morning she's in her green dress with her old bow not burned.
Correction: No, she's wearing the tattered dress in the castle with bear Eleanor up until they run into the boys messing with the animal heads. Merida asks them to help her get out of the castle, and promises to give them her dessert for a year. Next scene, the boys are distracting the men. Then Merida, having taken some time to change into her dark green dress, enters the kitchen with a bow (not her favorite, the queen threw that one into the fire earlier), some arrows, and a cloak, w/ bear following.
Corrected entry: Just before Mor'du appears for the first time, Merida is holding the arrow she retrieved from the woods. When Elinor picks her up, turns around and starts walking with her, the arrow disappears from Merida's hand. (01:33:00)
Correction: No, it's the same dress. It's just the lighting.
