Continuity mistake: During the reaping, as Katniss fights with the peace keepers to get to Prim, there is an obvious break in the shot. In one shot, she is already pushing the peace keeper on her left off, but in the next shot, she is just beginning to push him. (00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss pulls back on her bow to take her first shot at the apples, she has a strand of hair hanging neatly by her eye. Camera cuts and this strand is now spread out and untidy. (01:32:30)
Continuity mistake: Just as Katniss is placed on her spot by Effie after walking up on stage, Effie grabs the microphone just as the camera changes. When the camera changes, she is no longer holding the microphone. (00:15:40)
Continuity mistake: As Katniss volunteers, the Peacekeeper on her right is stood next to her. We see Katniss from a raised angle and this Peacekeeper is now further away. (00:15:20)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss is looking at the forest on the TV screen her hair covers her one eye or it doesn't, depending on the camera angle. (00:35:20)
Continuity mistake: When President Snow says Welcome for the first time he has both hands outstretched. Camera changes and one hand is now lowered. (00:32:40)
Continuity mistake: When Peeta asks what the plan is on the train, Haymitch is holding his glass by the top of the glass. Camera cuts and now he is holding it at the bottom of the glass. (00:22:55)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss and Rue are chewing on some bones just after the tracker jacker scene, Rue removes a bone from her mouth. Camera cuts and she removes the bone again. (01:27:40)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss dives into the water to escape the fire, a pocket of air forms in her coat and can be seen, as it should, on the surface of the water. Camera cuts and the air pocket has completely disappeared. There is no time for it disappear naturally and Katniss doesn't remove it. (01:16:20)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss gets a score of 11 Effie Trinket raises her hands. In the next shot she raises them again. (00:47:40)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss is volunteering to replace Prim, she struggles with 2 guards and starts to fall down. As such her head ends up lower than both guards' shoulders. Camera cuts and she is stood up again. This is an instant cut and a very bad edit. (00:15:35)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss wakes up and her leg is healed, the way she puts her hand to the injury changes between long and close-up shots. (01:21:00)
Continuity mistake: In the evaluation scene where Katniss shows off her bow and arrow skills, there are 4 arrows total. However, when she leaves, all 4 are gone, and she only shot 3.
Suggested correction: When she comes in, there are 5 arrows. She shoots 3 and when she walks away, you see 2 arrows left.
Continuity mistake: As well as being an audio problem, the cannon sound representing the death of a tribute is not consistent. It goes off shortly after the bloodbath scene and the scene in which Peeta kills a girl. It doesn't go off for any other deaths though, such as when Rue dies.
Continuity mistake: You need to watch carefully for this mistake as it's over in the blink of eye. When in the training at the start we see the boy from District 8 fall off the monkey bars and hurt his leg. In the far shot that shows him falling we see him roll onto his back and grasp his shin just below the knee. Camera changes to him on his side and he rolls onto his back and grasps his leg again, but this time he grasps it a lot lower down the leg. (00:36:40)
Continuity mistake: When the announcer gives the second notice that there can only be one victor, Katniss is looking at Peeta. Camera cuts and she's looking the other way. (02:01:00)
Continuity mistake: At the end we see Cato with 2 hands Katniss' neck trying to choke her on the edge of the Cornucopia. Camera cuts and now he has one hand on the edge of the Cornucopia. (01:59:00)
Continuity mistake: When Katniss shoots the rock to draw the deer out of hiding her right hand is uncovered. Then as she fires at the deer a moment later a leather glove has appeared on her hand. (00:05:00)
Continuity mistake: Katniss puts her quiver on her shoulder for the very first time. Camera cuts and now it's across her back. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: In the first shot of the two girls at the very start, Katniss is stroking Prim's hair. She occasionally places her hand on Prim's head. However, when she does this, her hand is in a different spot in between camera cuts. (00:01:50)
