Continuity mistake: When George Clooney is deciding whether or not his family's land holding will be sold to a corporation, he is sitting with two of his cousins. From a front view, his cousin, Hugh, opens a book. Then the shot switches to a side view, and it shows Hugh still opening the book.
Deliberate mistake: When George Clooney is in the restaurant, he sits down at a booth alone. From a wide shot, he sits down and then they show a close up and he sits down again.
Continuity mistake: When Matt is angrily talking to the comatose Elizabeth in the hospital, her mouth continually changes. From the side shot of her face, her lips are partially apart. When the shot is looking directly down on Elizabeth, her mouth is now opened much wider. It continually changes back forth as the camera angle switches.
Continuity mistake: At the end, as Alex comes out of her mother's hospital room, there are two large framed pictures on the hallway wall to her right, next to the door. When the scene cuts to a long shot of her walking toward her father and sister, there's now only one picture on that wall. There is no other section of that wall that has two pictures next to each other.
