During a prison riot, Mickey takes numerous people hostage including Wayne Gale, and proceeds to rescue Mallory who is being beaten by Jack Scagnetti. Mallory stabs Scagnetti in the throat and shoots him. With the help of Owen, a mysterious admirer, Mickey and Mallory walk out the front door with shotguns strapped to Wayne Gale and a prison guard. Warden Dwight McClusky watches as they exit, and turns to see all the escaped inmates running towards him. The mob grabs and tortures him. When they are in the clear, Wayne Gale decides to do one last report on Mickey and Mallory. But they decide that they can't let him go because he was really only helping them for ratings. Wayne asks who will they leave alive to tell the tale. They reply by stating the camera. They shoot and kill Wayne. Mickey and Mallory then leave and start a family.

Mickey: The media is like the weather, only it's man-made weather.
Trivia: Almost all of the prisoners in the prison and the prisoners taking place in the riot, were in fact real inmates of that prison, with over 80% of them doing hard time for violent crimes.
Question: When Woody Harrelson is eating the key lime pie in the opening scene, how exactly was that pie made? It looked more translucent like Jello, as opposed to regular key lime pies, which resemble cheese cake.
Answer: My take: The Key Lime pie Mickey eats in the diner looks cheap and trashy on purpose... a garish trailer park version of that pie. The crust isn't even cooked. I think it has more to do with the demographic theme of the diner patrons rather than Harrelson being a vegan.

Answer: Yes, it definitely does not look like a key lime pie. I suspect that because Woody Harrelson is a strict vegan, that it is a substitute made with vegan ingredients.
