Continuity mistake: When Bella and Edward are coming back from Port Angeles and see that their dads are still at the Police station, Edward starts to pull in and there's what might be an ambulance in the entrance. The next shot shows a semi-close-up of Bella asking Edward to pull in, which he does again, and this time there is no car in the entrance.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Edward goes back to the highway from rescuing Bella. We see he stops the car when he turns, when the camera changes we see the area around them moving but we never heard or see the car accelerate.
Suggested correction: This was another car, not Edward's car, silver too, but totally different.
Continuity mistake: As Edward and Bella are dancing on the gazebo at prom, the other two couples leave the gazebo. The first couple who leave walk over to the stairs and start walking down them. In the next shot they're still walking to the stairs and then begin to descend them again. (01:46:00)
Continuity mistake: In the cafeteria, when Bella sits for the first time with Angela, Jessica, Mike and Eric she has her arms crossed. When Angela takes her picture Bella's arms are unfolded. Then the shot changes and her arms are crossed again. (00:07:35)
Factual error: In multiple scenes in the forest you can see Edward's "breath" - but being a vampire, he should be cold, hence his body should not be expelling water in his breath warm enough to condense into fog in the cold weather.
Revealing mistake: When Edward and Bella ride up to the baseball game in the jeep, they make one set of tracks on the ground. When they're rushing to leave, the shot shows that there are actually two sets of tracks running almost perfectly inside each other. (01:21:30)
Continuity mistake: When Bella says, "Why did you hate me so much when we met?" Edward's face is very close to hers and his right hand is placed with the palm on a branch. In the next shot, his face is further away, and now it's only his fingertips which are touching the branch. (00:52:30)
Continuity mistake: When Bella is talking to Edward while washing the car, the blue bucket disappears and it is gone when Jacob and his farther arrives minutes later. (00:59:00 - 01:00:30)
Continuity mistake: When Edward and Bella are laying in the meadow, the distance between their heads increases between shots just before the sun shines on them. (00:54:30)
Continuity mistake: When Bella trips forward and when Edward apologizes to Bella "for being rude" in the greenhouse during the school trip, the students behind and in front of them suddenly change, and alter their positions and locations between shots. (00:26:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When Charlie takes Bella up to her bedroom at the beginning of the movie, you can see a black microphone wire running from Bella's jeans up her shirt.
Continuity mistake: As the Cullen's are cooking in the kitchen you can see a small television screen with a remote control on the counter behind Esme. Between shots as Edward and Bella enter the kitchen, the angle of the screen and the position of the remote changes. (01:02:00)
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Molina pours the glass of 'compost tea' on the school trip, the amount in the glass lowers between shots - with no time to have poured any of it out. (00:26:00)
Continuity mistake: When Edward is jumping from the first tree to the second tree Bella's hair is hanging loose, but halfway across the distance her hair is in a ponytail, and when they land on the other tree it is hanging loose again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at La Push, the initial shot of the van that Bella is sitting in is parked crooked. In the next shot it is parked perfectly between the lines.
Visible crew/equipment: When Edward and Bella are in the forest and they are talking about what Edward really is, there is a microphone in view at the top of the screen.
Continuity mistake: Just before the Cullens begin to play baseball you see Edward running away and beginning to turn around to look back at Rosalie while he is running. But in the next shot you see him walk with his back turned to "us" and then turning around to look at Rosalie. (01:16:10)
Continuity mistake: In the hospital scene when Bella's mother is talking to Bella, during the scene the position of the blue cloth, newspaper and other items next to the large lamp (on the table next to where Edward sits) keeps on changing. (01:38:40)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Bella first walks into Biology class, she walks past a large fan that hits her with a gust of wind that visibly jostles her hair. In the next shot, her hair is completely perfect again. (00:10:35)
Continuity mistake: In the ballet studio fight scene, Bella grasps an injured right leg with her left hand. When Bella is in the hospital, the cast is obviously on the left leg which is under the blanket-the silhouette of the leg is straight and much larger than the right leg, which is thinner, flexed and has skin exposed at an area which would have been covered had it been in a bandage or cast. But when she and Edward go to prom, the injured leg is again the right leg, which is in a cast.
