Continuity mistake: The protagonist gets home with the titular object. Seymour is finishing the sculpture; he casts no particular shadow on the wall behind him, but as soon as the shot changes, his silhouette is projected right on the wall. (00:06:40)

Continuity mistake: Harold is holding in his arms the bottle still wrapped as he tells his roomies about the wedding being postponed. In the different shots, the bottle is turned differently - just look at the position of the ribbon. (00:07:35)

Continuity mistake: Harold is driving to the restaurant, but Mr. Fakrash gets to him flying in a weird sitting position. At the cut, the street signs completely change. (00:24:40)

Continuity mistake: A line of elephants crossing the street cuts short the police chase. At the cut, the passersby in the street change entirely. (00:25:25)

Continuity mistake: During the scene in front of the restaurant (after the VW van takes Harold's parking spot) every cut brings continuity errors in the position of the passersby. The natural light also changes as you can see by the shadow on the sidewalk. (00:27:10)

Continuity mistake: Fakrash makes the two chests of money and jewelry disappear and is quite sad at his inability to please his Master. Harold puts his hands on Burl Ives' considerable girth saying "That's not true, Mr. Fakrash." In the next shot, his hands are on Ives' arms. (00:37:25)

Continuity mistake: During the 'simple dinner', the second time that the slaves get on their knees praising Fakrash's name, the seneschal claps his hands to shut them up starting from a position with his hands joined, but the hands were parted in the previous shot. (00:43:30)

Continuity mistake: Everyone sits down on the pillows for dinner. Harold's future father in-law grumbles about his sacroiliac pain, and his wife brushes him off saying "Oh Anthony, your back hasn't bothered you in years." Her purse is in a different position in her lap between shots. (00:44:20)

Continuity mistake: Female servants approach the 'table' where the protagonist is having dinner with in-laws and fiancee and sprinkle them with myrrh and frankincense. Continuity mistakes happen at every cut regarding the position of Harold's hands in his lap. (00:45:20)

Continuity mistake: After the buffet with lamb eyes, an odalisque appears and does a dance number. She approaches the dinner party; Sylvia in the wide shots is nervously touching her necklace, but in the closer views her hands are both on the pillow. (00:47:25)

Continuity mistake: When Tezra falls on her knees after seeing 'Master' Harold saying "Ask of me what thou wilt", he puts the peacock tongue in his mouth - but he already had it in the previous close-up. (00:53:10)

Continuity mistake: Pushed by Mr. Kenton in the guise of a mule, Harold falls with his back against the sarcophagus. He is positioned in different spots between cuts. (01:06:40)

Continuity mistake: Riding with the mule in the passenger seat, Harold finds himself unable to control his car. Driving the wrong way, he instinctively crosses his arms as a car nearly crashes against him. In the next shot he has just one arm raised and the other already controls the steering wheel. Continuity mistake: In the part of the crazy car ride when the other vehicles start going in reverse instead of colliding head-on with Harold, he has his arm across the face in the front view, but in the reverse shot just the hand is raised. (01:08:40)

Continuity mistake: After Fakrash proposes the partnership in real estates, Harold walks back to the car. Time has passed, because all of a sudden, Fakrash's head does not cast a shadow on his chest like in previous shots. (01:12:25)

Continuity mistake: Tears appear on the mule's mug between shots just after Harold says "I'm sorry, Professor." (01:12:35)

Continuity mistake: Harold pitches to the mule a certainly very reasonable idea such as having plastic surgery. In the earlier part of the scene Tony Randall was leaning against the car window, but not in that shot. However, at the cut, there he is, again leaning to the window. (01:12:45)

Fakrash: Select the design you wish and 3,000 houses will appear before your eyes...an entire city.
Harold Ventimore: You can't put up houses like that!
Fakrash: Oh, yes I can! With one wave of my hand.
Harold Ventimore: Listen, Mr. Fakrash, you don't own this land. And even if you did, you can't build on it without a building permit. Then detailed plans have to be drawn up, then the building Inspectors have to OK them, then they have to approve every step of the work: foundation, plumbing, electrical... Furthermore, all materials must be union made and all work must be done by union labor.
Fakrash: When the Pharaohs put up the pyramids, they had no such problems. In those days...
Harold Ventimore: - These aren't those days, they're these days. There is no room for magic now. Everything must be done legitimately today.
