Revealing mistake: At the end of the film, when Tony crashes Tim's car at the driving test centre, you can see it has been changed for a wreck as just before he crashes there is damage to the front left hand side that wasn't there before.
Continuity mistake: When the Lea family arrives at the rugby match, Tim parks the car in the car park. During the match you can see that the car has moved forward and is on the pavement. After the match, when Tony and Mary steal the car, it has moved back into the car park. Also, the front passenger window is open. It was shut when Tim parked the car.
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, when the green triumph herald is been shaking to bits by Tim and Miss Adez's lovemaking, several bits of trim fall off the car and are then back on it again between shots.
Revealing mistake: When Mrs. Slenderparts is driving down the motorway the wrong way, the same shot of oncoming cars swerving to avoid her is used twice.
Continuity mistake: During tea time at Avril's house, Tim accidentally squirts cream on Mrs Chalmers chest. But when she removes it the lump of cream is bigger than it was when Tim first squirted it.
Revealing mistake: When the Bentley crashes into the office at the driving test centre, if you look carefully over the barrels you can see the green Triumph Herald that Tim and Miss Adez destroyed during the opening sequence.
Revealing mistake: Early in the film when Truscott and Bender try and walk through the door at the same time the wall shakes.
Visible crew/equipment: The first time we see Tim arrive at Mrs Chalmers' house there is a camera light reflected in the front door.
Continuity mistake: When Mrs Slenderparts nearly runs down the man on the zebra crossing, in the first shot there is also another man crossing the road but in the second shot he has disappeared.
Revealing mistake: During the rugby match George Layton who plays Tony Bender seems to be wearing a wig as he can be seen adjusting it.
Continuity mistake: When Tim gets out of the bath there is only a small amount of water in the bottom and the taps are not running. Mrs Chalmers then enters the bathroom, and when her and Tim get into the bath it is now full of water right up to the top, spilling out as they get in.
Continuity mistake: When Sid and Tim are standing outside the Truscott driving school as Sid says "It's great, isn't it?" a red van, an orange car then a white van drive past on the road behind them. These three vehicles should have been visible in the previous angle when the camera was looking down the road in the direction they came from, but they weren't.

Continuity mistake: When Tim is taking his driving instructor's test at the start of this film he is driving on a two lane road - he goes under a bridge and it changes to a three lane road.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the scene when Mary is asking Tim to drive her to her archery session in her father's Bentley the parked cars in the background have suddenly changed.
Continuity mistake: When Tim and Mr Truscott leave the rugby match to get into the Bentley to chase after Tony and Mary in Tim's car, the ground has suddenly changed from dry to wet.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film when the green triumph herald is being trashed by Tim and miss Adez the front number plate disappears and reappears on the car between shots.
