Witness for the Prosecution

Sir Wilfrid Robarts, A barrister recovering from a serious heart attack, is hired by Leonard Vole, a small-time inventor accused of murdering a rich old widow. All evidences point out against Vole, but only his wife, Christine, the most reliable alibi, can save Leonard from the gallows. After a long and tedious trial, in which a surprise followed a surprise, Leonard's wife does appear in the witness stand - but for the prosecution, Claiming that Leonard came home with blood on his sleeves, saying that he had killed the woman. Will Sir Wilfrid manage to expose her lie and save his client's life?
