Continuity mistake: In the scene when Justin's father is coming out of the shed dressed as Santa Claus (the second time), the clock next to Justin reads 12:00. When he hears the "Ho Ho Ho" and gets up out of bed to go to his window, the clock says 11:56. (01:15:40)
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, when Justin's mom is about to read the letters that he has sent to Santa and Mrs. Claus, in the shot of the back of the first envelope the flap as been folded in to close the envelope. But, in the next shot, when Justin's mom turns the envelope over to open it, the envelope has been licked shut.
Continuity mistake: The chimney (display) with the "Please Give" sign on it is at ~ 45° angle to the building. After Justin kicks Santa, the chimney almost parallels the building. (00:27:28)
Continuity mistake: Mom pours orange juice to about an inch below the rim of the glass. The amount of orange juice varies between shots, with close-ups of Justin showing the glass fuller. (00:42:15)
Continuity mistake: Justin has fewer than a half-full glass of milk. Justin says, "Thanks for the grub," and his glass is over half-full. (00:07:25)
Continuity mistake: Mom uses a letter opener (or kitchen knife) on Justin's letter to Mrs. Claus. The envelope flap tears mid-way. Mom turns the envelope over and the flap has no tear. (01:13:25)
Continuity mistake: Justin walks home on snow-covered sidewalks, and snow embeds in his shoe treads. Justin walks in the front door, and his shoes are dry. (00:44:38)
Continuity mistake: In the classroom, front views (rows 3-4) show thick, hardcover dictionaries on the students' desks. Rear views (rows 1-2) show much thinner books. Ms. Crumley tells the class to open workbooks to page 53, as if all the students have the same book. (00:43:00 - 00:43:35)
Continuity mistake: David carries a full glass of beer into the living room. Before he sits (or drinks any beer), the glass is about two-thirds full. David places his glass on the coffee table, and it is full of beer again. (00:02:17)
Continuity mistake: Grandpa pulls his white Jeep into the driveway. The Jeep's rear bumper is almost aligned with the outer edge of the sidewalk. The front bumper is close to the rear bumper of the red truck. Grandpa exits his Jeep and walks towards the house. In the aerial view, his Jeep's rear bumper is past the sidewalk and there is more space between the Jeep and red truck. (00:01:37)
Other mistake: Dad has a long drive home, travelling through the mountains during a snowstorm. Dad pulls into the driveway and his truck is clean, with no splash marks. (01:12:05 - 01:14:35)
Continuity mistake: There are only 2 kids in the child's bedroom, but when you see the TV commercial they are watching early in the movie, you see FOUR children reflected in the screen. Way to the left is a boy dressed in white or light blue, leaning over a boy in dark blue to the right, then next is Dylan or Cole Sprouce (actor), and the other child actor, dressed in white. Suggested correction: I agree that the quite blurred reflection does not match what could be expected, but I do not agree the reflection is showing two other kids in the room with Bobby and Justin. To the right, it looks like there is a very inaccurate reflection of Bobby and Justin. To the left, there appear to be images of what they are seeing on the TV.
