Factual error: The Commissioner's secretary, a police constable, wears a shoulder number consisting of four digits only. Metropolitan Police constables' shoulder numbers always have two letters above three digits.

Factual error: The Army general and major are several times addressed by their surnames. This is extremely rude and unlikely to be done even by senior officials - their ranks should be used.

Factual error: When the film shows Embankment station, it is actually Charing Cross Underground.

Factual error: Although he is addressed several times as "Major-General" (incorrect in any case, as all general officers are by courtesy addressed as "General"), General Ashcroft is wearing the crossed sword and baton, pip and crown of a full general.
