Deliberate mistake: After Baloo and Bagheera escape from the monkeys, they both have a black eye. However, during their conversation by the water, between shots their black eyes vanish. [This is a Disney tradition, but still a mistake.]
The Jungle Book (1967)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Wolfgang Reitherman
Starring: Sebastian Cabot, Phil Harris, Bruce Reitherman, Louis Prima
After having been taken to the edge of the Man-Village by Bagheera and Baloo, Mowgli becomes smitten with a young girl collecting water and follows her into the village.
Bagheera: This will take brains, not brawn.
Baloo: You better believe it, and I'm loaded with both.
Trivia: The vultures at the end of the movie are meant to represent the Beatles, and are the same voices used for Yellow Submarine.
Question: Why did Shanti lure Mowgli into the village at the end? What was her reason for doing so?

Answer: She was a young girl who was instantly smitten by Mowgli (and he with her) and encouraged him to come into the village, hoping he'd stay. It shows that Mowgli has made the decision to live with humans.
