Other mistake: In the scene where Omar Epps goes to the DJ battle, the reporter that is reporting in the club states that the DJ's only have 20 seconds to do their things, but just before that, the counter behind the DJ shows 24 seconds. (00:42:10)
Continuity mistake: In the rooftop scene, when Tupac Shakur's character is dangling off the roof and Omar Epp's character is holding his hand trying to pull him up, Tupac's character loses his grip and falls to his death from the roof. When this happens, look at their hands - suddenly as Tupac's character's hand loses grip from Omar Epp's hand, his hand suddenly changes from dark brown to white. (Both characters are black) You can see a white stuntman who is supposed to be Tupac's character falling down from the roof. (01:04:40)
Other mistake: In the scene following the robbery, the four young men, led by Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps, run into a brick court, walled on four sides. Shakur states he's going to keep the gun, despite suggestions that they ditch it. He has a revolver stuck in his jeans, by his left hip. When he is challenged about keeping the gun, he pulls another revolver from his pocket, scuffles with one of his friends and shoots him in the chest - all the while the grip of the other identical revolver is in view.
Suggested correction: It looked like old man Quilles' gun that he must've taken off-screen after he killed him.
If you look at the movie again, Quiles' gun was a long nose revolver, Raheem's gun was a snub nose.
Continuity mistake: When the detectives come to pick up Q for questioning, he is having flashbacks of Bishop's crimes. A shot of Bishop shooting the gun with the burgundy hoody on appears, but this scene comes later when Bishop shoots Steel.
Factual error: In the scene near the end where Bishop is chasing Q with the gun, Bishop gets off 6 shots from the .38 handgun, (the final shot hitting Q in the arm) although the snub-nosed .38 he's using only holds 5 shots.
Continuity mistake: The scene where Tupac is clowning with his friends after the first altercation with the street gang, there are issues with continuity with Tupac smoking a cigarette and then not smoking, occasionally Rahiem is seen with the cigarette.
Continuity mistake: Q has to record a demo for entry into the DJ competition. The scene showing him recording his demo scratching does not even remotely match the scratching heard in the scene where he is presenting his demo in front of Queen Latifah for entry into the competition.
Suggested correction: It's sounded the same.
