Plot hole: The scenes involving Kickin' Wing, Clem, and the radio station are supposed to be years apart. When Joe is driving to the Hall of records, Kickin' Wing states that the incident was "more than ten years ago." Joe was abandoned in 1979, meaning this scene takes place between 1989 and 1993. In the scene where Joe denies that he saved the kids (from the gas), he refers to the incident as "15 years ago" meaning the scene takes place in 1994. By the time he gets to telling his story on the radio, it is 2001, and curiously, Joe never seems to age at all in between that time.

Audio problem: In the scene where the janitor is tap dancing in the hallway, the tapping sounds do not match up with the times that his feet hit the ground.
Joe Dirt: So, you're gonna tell me, that you don't have no black cats, no Roman candles, or screamin' mimis?
Kicking Wing: No.
Joe Dirt: Oh come on man. You don't got no lady fingers, buzz bottles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zip-a-dee-do-dahs, crap flappers?
Kicking Wing: No, I don't.
Joe Dirt: You're gonna stand there, owning a firework stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honker lighters, huskers dus, husker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy dazers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whisking kitty chaser?
Trivia: When little Joe comes out of the trash can he's not at the Grand Canyon, he's in Utah as told in the DVD commentary. (00:05:40)
Question: In the scene with Buffalo Bill and the well at his house, is that a spoof of Buffalo Bill in "Silence of the Lambs"?
