Continuity mistake: When Tidwell gets the wind knocked out of him at the Christmas Eve game, and he is lying in the end zone, he is clutching the ball to his chest. When the camera pans out to a distance shot, his arm is outstretched and the ball is lying off to the side. When the camera comes back in for a close up, it is clutched to his chest again.

Trivia: When Jerry is at the copy place at the beginning getting his paper put together, the guy behind the counter is lead guitarist for the band Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell.
