Revealing mistake: Right before the witches burst through the roof of Max's house, after they retrieve the book, you can see the charge used to set off the explosion in the window just below where they exit.

Other mistake: Winnie could not have known that Max said, "It's just a bunch of hocus pocus," considering the three of them were still dead at that time. (They couldn't have been ghosts, because she didn't know who lit the black-flame candle.)

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, right before the witches turn the boy into the cat, watch the girl in the chair. She's supposed to be dead because the witches sucked her life force out. She moves her knees. There are two mistakes in this scene. Not only is the dead girl moving her knees, the sheet covering them goes from being between her legs to completely straight.

Other mistake: The same footage of Allison making the salt circle in Max's room is used both times we see her do it.

Continuity mistake: As Alison holds off the Sanderson sisters with the box of salt, some shots show her holding the salt up close to the Sandersons while other shots the box of salt Is further away from them.

Continuity mistake: When the witches figure out that the "Burning Rain of Death" was actually water, it showed that they were all wet from before they managed to get under cover. In the next shot, as they leave the house, they're all bone dry.

Continuity mistake: When the sisters are in "Satan's" house and meet the wife, her curlers change position.

Sarah: What is this place?
Mary: It reeks of children!
Winifred: It is a prison for children.

Question: Throughout the film, everyone says that Binx was trying to prevent the candle from being lit, so why at the end does he thank Max for lighting it, and explain to Emily that he had to wait for the candle to be lit?

JohnShel91

Chosen answer: Binx had accepted his fate of being a cat forever so instead, he decided to stop the candle from being lit. It was only near the end of the film that he saw the death of the witches broke his curse.

THGhost

Answer: Binx knew that bringing the Sandersons back to life would be dangerous, so he tried to prevent it. It was only AFTER the group killed the witches that he was thankful since his curse was lifted. He said that to Emily because he waited 300 years for the right person to light the candle and destroy the witches.

Answer: He accepted his fate until the end of the movie.
