Factual error: In the scene where Marcellus is being shipped off to "Palestine" on the galley - presumably from Ostia the port of Rome at the mouth of the Tiber - he is urged to hurry up his farewell to Diana by the galley captain because "we will miss the tide." This is the Mediterranean - there is no tide to speak of.

Directed by: Henry Koster
Starring: Richard Burton, Jean Simmons, Michael Rennie, Victor Mature

Continuity mistake: Jesus's garment appears to shrink during this movie. It covers him at one stage, but ends up small enough to drape over Richard Burton's shoulders.
Diana: Then all the tales I've heard of you are true.
Marcellus Gallio: Every man makes enemies.
Diana: All your enemies seem to be women.
