Continuity mistake: Det. Farzier is going over the inventory list and the page, where locker 392 is missing. This page of the list starts with locker #385 (size 3x10) and going further (5x5, 10x10, 4x10, 3x10, 3x10, 4x10), skipping 392 to 393 (size 4x10). A few seconds later he takes a second look at the page (close-up shot), but this time it already starts with locker #378 and the sizes of the numbers seen earlier, starting at 385, do not match up anymore (e.g. 391 is now size 5x5 instead of 4x10). Continuity mistake: As Dalton stands inside the bank vault staring at the cash, the scene jumps from a wide, distant shot, to medium, to close-in, just outside the cage. Another robber stands just outside and between jumps his gun position shifts from relaxed to raised to relaxed again.
Suggested correction: Whilst this is true, I don't think it is a continuity mistake. It looks to me like it is intended to suggest the passage of time between each of the three shots.
Continuity mistake: The handwriting and capitalization written on the desk drawer sent by the robbers containing their demands changes when Detective Frazier discovers that it's bugged. For example, "SemTex" changes to "SEMTEX" and "CAMeras" changes to "camerAS".
Continuity mistake: In one scene, Clive Owen takes a piece of pizza and a bottle of water to the young boy who is being held hostage. The piece of pizza stays intact throughout the scene even though the boy is obviously eating it.
Continuity mistake: During one scene, Clive Owen's female accomplice opens the safety deposit box. Then she moves and Clive Owen steps up to it. She moves behind him, but in the next shot she's next to him.
Continuity mistake: After the Detective wrestles with Dalton, and he pulls his revolver out, and he cocks it and says "you just crossed the fucking line", the next shot shows the revolver is not cocked.
Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Jodie Foster barges in to see Christopher Plummer at the barber, she has a tote bag. She sits in an empty barber chair and places the bag on the floor before speaking to Plummer. As she rises to leave, she picks up the bag, but when the shot cuts to her just as she walked out the door, she is no longer carrying it. Both hands are clearly visible as she buttons her jacket, and the bag is not in either hand, nor is it slung over her wrist or arm. It is simply not there. This particular shot may only be visible in the theatrical and widescreen DVD versions, and not in an edited and "pan and scan" format.
