Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Continuity mistake: Johnny Depp's wig changes subtly throughout the film. Most of the time he has many dread locks. Other times, he has many fewer dreads and more stringy curly pieces.

Continuity mistake: In the scene early on in the movie, where Lord Beckett and Elizabeth are talking, behind Lord Beckett you can see a man sitting on a seat suspended in the air by two ropes, apparently working on a ship or something of that nature. Then, the camera cuts to Elizabeth and when it cuts back to Beckett, the man in the background is gone, and the seat or ropes are no longer there either.

Continuity mistake: Throughout the film, Will's hair continually changes position between shots, such as hanging loose, then behind his ear, and back again, or vice versa; for example, when he holds Elizabeth's dress aboard the "bride spirit" ship.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film in Tia Dalma's hut, when Tia is handing out drinks, just before Gibbs gives his two cents about Jack, there is a wide shot of the whole group and Gibbs can be seen pushing away from the doorframe and standing up. The camera cuts to a closer shot of Gibbs, and he pushes away from the doorframe a second time.

Continuity mistake: When Tia Dalma holds the tray with two candles and a mug (the others were given out), as she asks if they would be willing to do anything, the position of the mug changes between shots.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Tia Dalma asks, "Would you sail to the ends of the earth to fetch back witty Jack and his precious Pearl?" her lips are only partially covered in black. However, when she says, "Then you will need a captain who knows those waters," her lips are covered entirely in black.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: At Tia Dalma's, when Will tosses the knife at the tabletop, there is a tall slim candle beside his right hand. However, in the next shot when Tia Dalma says, "Against the cold and the sorrow," the candle beside his right hand is now very short, though no time has passed. (This doesn't refer to the short, wide candle in both shots.)

Plot hole: There are six metal bars mounted around the circumference of the water wheel's axle. In the wheel's interior, when Jack frees himself he lands on his feet, begins to run and promptly hits his head on one of those mounted axle bars, then falls out. Moments later, when Jack returns and runs in the wheel, he is shorter (way more than a foot) than all six of the mounted axle bars spinning with the water wheel, which would make that previous shot impossible, however humorous it is. Trivia: The face on the small music box lid is visible when Will steals the key from Davy Jones. At Tia Dalma's, when Jack steals the ring, it lies beside a necklace whose pendant is identical to the face on Davy Jones's music box.

Question: When Jack asks for Tia Dalma's help, she asks him what he brought for her. Jack then lifts the cage containing the monkey and shoots it. Jack then says, "An undead monkey". How is it possible for the monkey to be undead, wasn't the curse on the Black Pearl lifted?

Answer: There is a scene after the credits of "The Curse of the Black Pearl": the monkey got back to the cave and took a coin. That way he turned undead again.
