Other mistake: When Mike stops time to hit his boss, he starts getting off the desk. There's a bottle of water on the desk, however, the water is moving around from Mike moving on the desk. How can the water move if time is frozen/paused?
Other mistake: During the time when they are telling Mike about chemotherapy, you can see the end of his bed. It's way too short for him to be lying down.
Continuity mistake: When Ammer tells Michael that he hasn't yet got the promotion, he's wearing his glasses. Just before Michael 'pauses' him to smack him around, his glasses disappear without him taking them off.
Michael Newman: Twinkie. Don't need it. You don't need it, man. You do need a Yodel, though. Good job.
Trivia: In the first scene of the 2023 timeline, the TV has the news on, and behind Michael is the "Freedom Tower" in the background. It's also seen at wedding scene in 2030, although there are now two towers instead of one very large tower, which is the way the "real" Freedom Tower is supposed to be built. In the same shot, a 147-year-old Brooklyn Bridge is seen in the background as well.
Question: I'm confused about the return of the purse and kids' bicycles. Michael says he spent money that he doesn't have and might have to return the kids' bikes. Architects make a substantial amount of income. So why would he need to return the kiddie bikes?

Answer: The median salary in the United States for architects is currently around $80K per year. It was a few thousand dollars less in 2006 when the film was made. That's not what most would call a "substantial" income, especially considering that is the median. Michael could make significantly less than that. There are thousands of people in the United States making more than $80K a year living paycheck-to-paycheck, based on their individual circumstances.
