Just Friends (2005)

1 plot hole - chronological order

(7 votes)

Plot hole: In the yearbook scene Tim barges into Jamie's room and asks her to sign his yearbook, pushes Chris off the bed, and they somehow get their yearbooks mixed up. Tim's yearbook is left in the room with Jamie and Chris, while Tim takes Jamie's yearbook that Chris wrote in with him. When Chris asks Jamie to read the message he wrote in her yearbook, she instead reads the message that Tim wrote to her in his own yearbook. If Tim was asking Jamie to sign his yearbook, why would sign the yearbook with as if he was signing Jamie's. If he was intending to sign Jamie's yearbook, he would have written in the same yearbook that Chris wrote in and not his own.

Continuity mistake: In the opening shots we see Chris writing in Jamie's yearbook. However between shots it is evident that the handwriting has changed position and style. (00:00:35)

Clark: How'd the big date go?
Chris: It was terrible. I went in for a kiss, but she wants a hug, okay? Then I get caught in a sort of kiss-hug limbo type thing. I don't know what that is, then I ended up shaking her entire body.
Clark: So you gave her a body shake?
Chris: Oh, God! I should've just kissed her! What am I doing?
Clark: It looks like you picked up right where you left off. You're back in the friend zone.

Trivia: In the credits the song "Forgiveness" plays, but sometimes in the song you hear three Beatles effects, like the way she says "Time, time, time" 6 times and ends with a cat noise. That is kind of like in the middle of "Hey Jude" where instead of "Time" the word is "Better" and they end with a scream. And after the cat noise, you hear a "Ha Ha Ha" like the song "I am The Walrus," and at the very end there is a build-up of orchestra followed by an ending note that holds to fade like the song "A Day in the Life."
