Continuity mistake: When the coach is tape recording the little kid, he gets a drop of soda on the tip of his nose. In the next shot it's gone and the kid's nose is dry.

Both are finally reunited after nearly two decades apart. Neil takes him back to the place where it first occured as the full extent of what was done to him (Brian) dawns on him washing over his psyche till he breaks down and weeps in Neils lap.
