Continuity mistake: In the scene where Danny and his uncle is riding down the road in a car, you see a Mack truck hit them. As the car is being pushed along, notice that the hood of the car is sticking straight up in the air and almost ready to fall off. After the truck stops pushing the car, you see some men drive up, get out of their car with machine guns and start to shoot at the damaged car. During the shooting take note of the condition of the hood - the damage is completely different from what you saw earlier. (00:26:40)

RLN

Continuity mistake: When Danny meets Sam the second time he is bleeding on the floor. When he falls to the floor the amount of blood on it differs between the shots. (00:26:55)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: When Sam reaches for Danny's collar Danny grabs on to it with both hands placing his right hand over his left. When it cuts his left hand is now over the right. (00:34:35)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Danny and Bart are fighting in Sam's house, they push the TV off onto the floor. A few minutes later, at the end of the scene, we can see that the TV is on the rack again, in its original position. (01:27:55 - 01:29:40)

Revealing mistake: During the fight in the apartment, the girl in the shower is wearing a black thong. (01:44:00)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jet Li grabs the steering wheel of Bob Hoskin's SUV and they crash and flip over, the side view mirror on the right side breaks off and reappears several times during the crash. Also, when the SUV flips over, one can see a large flat panel on the underside of the car that disappears once the car has come to a complete stop.

Factual error: The registration plate of the white Jaguar refers to a year 2003 registration. This is impossible as this particular model Jaguar ceased production a long time ago, and could never have that plate.

Deliberate mistake: This was probably done intentionally to make them more visible, but the bullet holes left in the stairwell wall by Bart's handgun while he is chasing Danny during the movie's climax look to be about the size of golf balls. Typical handgun calibers aside, just looking at the size of the clip he's loading into the gun and seeing how many rounds it holds, those rounds would have to be much smaller than the holes the bullets made.

Suggested correction: It's a 9mm Glock18. The standard magazines have 17 rounds, the long ones 30. The holes could be larger because it's an old building and the plaster might break apart differently than modern drywall.

Continuity mistake: As Danny is reading his ABC book at the start of the movie, blood drips from his head. We then see him picking up something from the bed. As the camera changes back to the view of his face, we see that the blood smear has changed. The blood that was on his eyelid has now disappeared.

Scrappy

Continuity mistake: During the antique warehouse scene, Jet Li misses his cue to come defend Bob Hoskins; as a result, Hoskins takes a beating and is bleeding profusely from the bridge of his nose to his cheeks, on both sides. This scene transitions to Hoskins' headquarters, where Hoskins is now chewing out Jet Li, telling him how useless he is. In the close-up profile shot, Hoskins now has no blood whatsoever on the right side of his nose or face. The camera cuts as Hoskins walks to his desk and turns, and now blood is again splattered across both sides of his nose and face.

Charles Austin Miller

Factual error: In the scene where the SUV flips over it is written off. However later on in the film towards the end when the gangs go to jet li's place the SUV is parked outside in new condition parked behind a white mercedes.

Danny: My mother, she was a whore.

Question: This is a very strange question but I cannot think of anywhere else to put it. In the UK, a poster-advert for this film that is stuck on phone boxes has me confused. The bottom half of the window has Danny (Jet Li) lying down with his face to the camera, looking up slightly (as he is seen during the film sometimes), but the top half has an arm/fist with what looks like a Christmas pudding (on fire and all) on top of it. What is the thing on his fist, and what's its relevance to the film? I've seen the film but I can't remember anything like it.

Gary O'Reilly

Chosen answer: If I am thinking of the same poster, it is someone's foot standing on his wrist. The shoe is really shiny.
