Character mistake: When Casey is using her knowledge of physics to advise a figure skater, she states, "Pull your arms in real tight. That increases your moment of inertia". In fact, this is the exact opposite of how it really works. Reducing her overall radius makes her rotational inertia smaller. (00:21:05)
Continuity mistake: After Casey has turned down Harvard and is skating on the pond, she falls many times. When she falls for the fourth and final time, her hat falls off. In an overhead shot, the camera even shows it laying on the ground above her head. When she gets back up upon seeing Teddy with the zamboni, her hat has disappeared. (01:12:05)
Continuity mistake: When Casey falls over while skating on her pond after rejecting Harvard, she falls a final time. We see that her hat is tangled below her hair, but when the camera suddenly pans out, her hat is far away form her head in a much to neat position. (01:12:05)
Factual error: When the results list is posted at the regional competition. "Wooster, MA" is printed next to Zoey Bloch and Avril Dishaw. The correct spelling of the city is Worcester. Wooster is in Ohio.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where they show Casey on her computer with her mom standing there, the first shot of Casey shows she has a pen in her left ear. But in the next shot it is gone.
Continuity mistake: When the kids are at the food counter wanting food, four hot dogs are next to Casey. One of the kids says he wants four hot dogs, so she grabs one and magically the other three are already in front of the boy.
Continuity mistake: When Gen comes up to Casey in school and hands her an invite to her boyfriend's party, the strap on her back pack is turned over, but in another shot it shows the strap turned right side up.
Continuity mistake: When Casey is skating on the pond after she leaves Harvard, she falls multiple times. The second time she falls, she lifts her right leg causing her foot to come into frame. On her feet you can clearly see that she's wearing black and green snow boots, even though seconds before that she was wearing white figure skates.
Continuity mistake: In the last dancing scene, we see Casey put down one of her arms after starting to dance to the rhythm. Then we look down from above, but her hand is up again.
Factual error: In the science lab when Mr Bast is turning on the Bunsen burner, it doesn't seem as though there is a flame to light it, and it is just lit somehow almost magically. He also toasts the bread beside CHEMICALS. No smart teacher ever does that and food is forbidden in science/physics labs.
Character mistake: When both Casey and her friend are watching the skater on tv, towards the end, when the musical theme starts, her friend's head twitches toward her, and it shows that she knows the script and is waiting for Casey to say her line.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Gen picks up her cheese from Casey, Gen picks up her cheese and dumps it on the counter. In the next scene, the cheese has moved and is behind a jar.
