Continuity mistake: When Elise, Annie and Brenda decide to make their own first wives club, Elise's glass of wine is almost empty, but when they throw their rings in the glass, it is almost full.

Suggested correction: The glass the ladies throw the rings in is Annie's glass. If you watch when Annie takes a drink from her glass, the rings are in it.

Continuity mistake: At the big dinner party they have look out for the man with black hair, gray suit with a turtle neck. He appears in back to back to back scenes - one second he's walking across the room the next he is dancing and a mere second later he's outside smoking. Either he has a twin or he gets around quick.

Suggested correction: The scenes of the party aren't necessarily time sequential. If the scenes are taken from throughout the evening, he could be in all those places. Granted, between the dance scene and the smoking scene the same music is playing but that can be explained; the music has ceased being realistic and has segued into being incidental.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, as Bette Midler, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn sing the song "You Don't Own Me," watch Goldie's shoes. For the first portion of the song, which takes place inside, she is wearing spiked-heel shoes with multiple straps. Then, as they dance through the doors onto the street, she is wearing shoes with a single strap and a much thicker heel.
