Lt. Daniel Kaffee finally makes Col. Jessup admit that he was giving the order for a Code Red. Dawson and Downey are found 'not guilty' on most charges, but 'guilty' on the charge of conduct unbecoming a US Marine. Though they avoid jail time, they are dishonourably discharged from the Marines.
