Falling Down

Freeways are clogged. Terror stalks our cities. At shops and restaurants, the customer is seldom right. The pressures of big-city life can anger anyone. But Bill Foster (Michael Douglas) is more than angry. He's out to get even.
"I'm going home," Foster says as he abandons his gridlocked car on the hottest day of the year. Instead, he walks straight into an urban nightmare by turns absurdly funny and shatteringly violent. Foster is an ordinary guy at war with the frustrations of daily living. Robert Duvall is the savvy cop obsessed with stopping Foster's citywide rampage.

Continuity mistake: When D-Fens attacks the Oriental shopkeeper he puts his foot on the shopkeeper's neck and his socks are clearly visible as white. However, a few minutes later when he removes his shoe to examine a hole in it on the hill, before being confronted by the two homeboys - his socks have somehow changed to black. Question: Why does the Beggar throw the apple at D-fens? I found it odd since he just gave him a briefcase and a lunch.

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Because the beggar thought there would be items of value in the briefcase and he was frustrated that there was nothing in there. So in frustration he threw the apple at D-Fens.
