Revealing mistake: From the front view of Karen's gun, you can see empty chambers.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie Sally Field is applying her make-up in a small cosmetic mirror. She accidentally hits the mirror with her brush and attempts to put it back in position. However, the viewer is now able to see the camera and crew behind her shooting the scene in the cosmetic mirror.
Visible crew/equipment: Literally seconds into the movie, Sally Field runs into her youngest daughter's bedroom. As she enters the room, she runs in front of a large mirror in which a heavyset crewmember in a red top and blue vest is VERY clearly visible!
Continuity mistake: When Kiefer Sutherland kills the Spanish woman and they show a scene where she is dead, as the camera is about to go to another scene she blinks and about 2 seconds later they take the camera off her.
Continuity mistake: When Kiefer Sutherland is going up the stairs in Sally Field's house there is a large house plant on the landing of the stairs. But a few minutes later when the two are struggling for the gun they go tumbling down those same stairs and the plant is no longer there.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, during the scuffle, Robert's cross around his neck is either tucked under his shirt or outside his shirt depending on the angle.
Audio problem: Just before Sally Field screams about the smell being washed out of her daughter's pillow, take a look at the little girl eating breakfast. She tells her father that she doesn't like bananas but you can tell she said something else and then laughed and said "I mean." while trying to hide her laughter. Although it was an obvious mistake she did a good job of covering it up.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, Robert is wrapped in a sheet and put into a body bag. When he is taken out of the house, the body bag is gone, with just the sheet covering him.
Continuity mistake: When the Mexican woman is being raped on the table, she keeps changing positions depending on the camera angle.
