Trivia: When Ed Wood meets Orson Wells, Orson tells Ed that the studio wants Charlton Heston to play a Mexican in one of his films. He is referring to his film Touch of Evil, which was in pre-production at that time. In it, Charlton Heston played Roman Miguel Vargas, a Mexican.
Trivia: The man who plays the potential backer - the one who asks to meet Vampira - is Gregory Walcott. Mr. Walcott played the astronaut in the original "Plan 9 From Outer Space."
Continuity mistake: When Ed is filming Bela Lugosi's last footage in front of his house, he is standing on the sidewalk, facing the house. From the camera's point of view there is a concrete walk leading to the porch, yet when there's a cut to the house's view, the walk is gone. It's just grass.
